Baby Boomers Sleeping Less Hurts Your Health

I was reading an article today that said that most boomers don't get enough sleep. I'm sure most are not surprised by this statement. But did you know that lack of sleep can hurt your health?

Statistics show that women have more problems sleeping than men, mainly because women are the caregivers and tend to worry more. Sleep disturbances is associated with decreased memory, impaired concentration and impaired ability to function. Sleep is as important as nutrition and exercise as we grow older. Sleep gives our body time to rebuild, it also gives our brains time to work through daily issues.

Stress is a big factor. You can help to manage your stress by discussing worries long before bedtime and tapping into relaxation techniques.
